Violence is pervasive – it exists in every society and time. Itoccurs not only in physical form, but in psychological formtoo. Nonetheless, violence is typically associated withphysical violence. My applied arts Diplom work is concernedwith the phenomenon of psychological or verbal violence(or verbal aggression). It not only refers to the actionof being shouting at, but also that one’s interests, needs,thoughts and feelings are being devalued, reinterpretedand negated. For the victim this means being on the receivingend of psychological damage, while the perpetratorgains control and power.
